When to use a skill
Use a skill when the same procedure recurs across tasks and should be readable, reviewable, and maintained in one place. A prompt suits one immediate task. An Agent OS provides the surrounding runtime: state, tools, scheduling, and recovery.
Vet a skill before you install it
An agent follows a skill with the access you have already given it. Read the description as a trigger, read every instruction and referenced file, review bundled scripts like any other code, test on safe sample inputs, and pin the version you approved.
